INTRODUCTION:
My name is Sampson Isafi. I am presently studying for a Bachelor of Science in Material Science and Engineering (2026). Thereafter, I will work towards a Master of Architecture (2029). Upon graduation, I will register with NCARB, pass the ARE, and attain full licensure status as an Architect.
I am proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. I also know how to hand draft.
BACKGROUND:
Across my life, I have had a curious fascination in almost every subject. Despite studying many different disciplines, I lacked a way of unifying all my discrete learnings. I discovered architecture in middle school, and found the central hub from which all my education would originate from and return to.
I am a problem solver. When I see the rampant disorder of society, I observe an opportunity to implement design as a means of resolution. Problems beget chaos. Solutions beget order. Ergo, the architect's ultimate goal is to weave order from chaos.
METHODOLOGY:
I most appreciate organic architecture, developed by Frank Lloyd Wright. However, I do not subscribe to a single theory; instead, I take an eclectic approach. This gives me the freedom to treat every building as an individual, with its own stylistic wants and needs. Furthermore, I consider the full range of details, from door handles and cutlery, to cladding.
I am a generalist just as Vitruvius intended. I implement the whole breadth of my knowledge into each project. This involves:
Mathematics
Accessibility
Engineering
Economics
Utility
Furniture Design
Interior Design
Drawing
Writing
Music
Metaphysics
Story Telling
Computer Science
Sustainability
Psychology
Anatomy
Physics
